A collection shaped by close observation and layered surfaces, gathered through steady hours in and out of the studio. Many of the works hold a single hummingbird suspended against a toned, velvetty background, its plumage catching light in small, jeweled flashes. Each one carries a sense of vitality moving through stillness, a gentle reminder that still moments often hold their own kind of becoming. In other works, the bird settles onto a branch, its iridescence softening with each turn. These shifts in color mirror the way perspective shapes what we see, both in nature and in ourselves.
